New Delhi, July 17: The 16th round of corps commander level negotiations between India and China got underway on Sunday at the Indian side’s Chushul-Moldo border crossing.
Disengagement negotiations are taking place along the LAC in Eastern Ladakh. After a pause of at least four months, the most recent round of negotiations began.
According to a government official who spoke to Hindustan Times under the condition of anonymity, the two parties will discuss further disengagement at the places of contention along the LAC. The official claimed that communication is the only method to resolve unresolved issues in a way that benefits both parties.
Both armies still have some 60,000 soldiers each and cutting-edge weapons stationed in the Ladakh theatre despite withdrawing from the Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso, and Gogra-Hot Springs area.
