Seminar on mental health at Gossner College Ranchi

Ranchi, Aug. 29: The TeleMANAS CIP, Jharkhand team conducted one-day awareness and sensitization programme at Gossner College.

The counsellors of TeleMANAS, Jharkhand, Jyoti Rohilla and Priyanka Kumari, hosted the programme.  The team from TeleMANAS visited the college to provide orientation to students, faculty and staffs about the importance of mental health, the

signs and symptoms of mental health illness, coping strategies and how the Tele-MANAS can help.

The session was concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Anita Ranjan (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Priyanka Soren (HOD of the Psychology Department).

The session with participants was very interactive and all were engaged in discussion.

The participants also raised their queries related to mental health issues with the speakers. The toll-free numbers of Tele-MANAS, 14416 and 1800-89-14416, were shared with everyone and they were encouraged to share these numbers with their colleagues and near ones.
