New Delhi, Nov 27: On the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, Indian Americans and members of other South Asian communities organised protests across the US, including one in front of the Pakistani embassy in Washington, where they denounced Pakistan for habouring terrorist organisations and urged world leaders to bring the Mumbai attack’s perpetrators to justice.

Protesters demanded that the terrorists affiliated with the Pakistan-backed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) who carried out the 26/11 Mumbai attacks be prosecuted with posters and banners showing the severity of the heinous attacks.

At least 166 people were killed and 300 others were injured in 12 synchronised shooting and bombing assaults carried out by 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists (LeT) in 2008.

Two assailants took control of Nariman House, a Chabad Lubavitch Jewish centre in Mumbai also known as the Chabad House, and held many inhabitants hostage.

Additionally, protests were held in front of Pakistan consulates in Chicago, Houston, and the Pakistan Community Center in New Jersey.

More than a dozen people gathered to express their pain and vehement disapproval of Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorist policies and tactics. A protest participant named Mohinder Gulati urged the international community to condemn Pakistan.

India has urged Pakistan to take action against the terrorist organisations operating on its territory on numerous occasions. However, Pakistan’s military continues to support the masterminds of the Mumbai attack, including Hafiz Saeed, Maulana Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, and Sufayan Zafar.

On November 26, at around noon (local time), a demonstration began in front of the Pakistan Consulate in New York and lasted for two hours. A group of 15 to 20 people demonstrated and chanted anti-Pakistan ISI slogans.
