Naypyidaw, Sept 7: The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported that a 4.4 Richter scale earthquake shook Myanmar on Thursday.
The earthquake’s depth was measured at 25 kilometres.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.4, Occurred on 07-09-2023, 10:29:21 IST, Lat: 22.42 & Long: 93.85, Depth: 25 Km, Location: Myanmar,” NCS wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Parts of Myanmar were shaken earlier on August 21 by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter Scale.
The National Center for Seismology (NCS) serves as the primary government agency in India responsible for tracking and observing seismic events within the nation. NCS operates a National Seismological Network comprising 155 stations, each equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
