New Delhi, Nov 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addresses the constitution day event. PM remembered the brave hearts who countered the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and the ones who lost their lives.
“While we are commemorating ‘Samvidhan Divas’ today, we must not forget the brave heats who countered the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and the ones who lost their lives”, said PM Modi.
“Today on the anniversary of the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, I pay tribute to all brave soldiers of the country who sacrificed their lives while fighting the terrorists”, added PM Modi.
Constitution Day should have been celebrated each year after 1950 to educate all about what went into the making of the Constitution. But some people did not do so. This day should also be celebrated to evaluate whether what we do is right or not: PM Modi pic.twitter.com/6TXeslcEXN

As per a release issued by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the Centre is celebrating Constitution Day as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. President Ram Nath Kovind had leaded the celebrations from Central Hall of Parliament House from 11 am onwards.
Opposition parties including Congress, Shiv Sena, All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Samajwadi Party (SP) boycott the constitution Day function being held in the Central Hall of Parliament today.
These include Shiv Sena, NCP, Samajwadi Party, RJD, IUML and DMK. Congress and Trinamool had already refused to participate in the programme. After this, on the appeal of Congress, other parties also announced not to attend the program.

Majeed Memon of the NCP said, “BJP leaders want to celebrate Constitution Day in Central Hall with all solemnity and respect to the Constitution of India. It is a mockery to do so when they don’t follow it on the ground.”
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this occasion, greeted Indians and shared a portion of B R Ambedkar’s speech on Twitter, in which he had presented a resolution for the approval of the draught Constitution in the Constituent Assembly.
