JPSC releases results of Combined Civil Services Examination 2021, Savitri Kumari tops

Ranchi, June 1: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) released the result of the 7th to 10th JPSC Combined Civil Services Examination 2021 on Tuesday.

Savitri Kumari, a resident of Bokaro has been declared the topper. Savitri is the daughter of Rajeshwar Nayak, a grill gate worker and has been selected in the State Administrative Services. Notably, three girls are a part of the top ten scorers. These include Pooja Kumari and Asha Sahu, apart from Savitri.

Savitri of BC category was a part of the unreserved quota due to higher cut off marks and was thus selected in Jharkhand Administrative Service, while Kumar Vinod stood second and Mo Armanul Haque stood third. Both the candidates have been selected in the Jharkhand Police Service. Kumar Vinod of BC category has also been selected in the unreserved quota due to higher cut off marks. This makes Kumar Vinod the topper of Jharkhand Police Service.

Top ten students in the JPSC result include Savitri Kumari, who has been selected in the Jharkhand Administrative Service, while Kumar Vinod was selected for Jharkhand Police Service. Mohd Armaanul Haque scored third and was chosen for Jharkhand Police Service, Abhinav Kumar has been selected for the Jharkhand Administrative Service, Ashish Kumar Sahu will be a part of the Jharkhand Administrative Service, Pooja Kumari will have a posting in the Jharkhand Police Service, Rajeev Ranjan was also chosen by the Jharkhand Police Service, Bhola Pandey was chosen for the Jharkhand Administrative Service, Ankit Badaik will be a part of the Jharkhand Administrative Service, and Asha Sahu will go to the Jharkhand Administrative Service.

Candidates can check results on the official site of JPSC on jpsc.gov.in. Notably, this is the first time that JPSC has released results within 251 days of the announcement of examinations.

The JPSC had earlier announced a list of 4300 candidates who had qualified in the prelims exam for the Combined Civil Services 2021. The exams were then taken in the month of March, while the results were declared in May wherein, a total of 802 candidates were declared successful. The JPSC then had interviewed the selected candidates till May 17.

The JPSC Civil Service Exam was conducted for recruitment to the post of Deputy Collector, Police Sub Inspector, District Coordinator, Jail Superintendent, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Jharkhand Education Service II, Junior Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Director, Planning Officer and Probation Officer. JPSC had invited applications for the recruitment of 252 vacancies in various departments in the state.

This exam was held to fill vacancies in various departments and organisations generated during 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. These vacancies included 44 posts of deputy collector, 40 posts of police sub inspector, 16 of district coordinator, two of jail superintendent, 65 posts of assistant municipal commissioner, 41 for Jharkhand education services II, 10 for junior registrar, six for assistant registrar, two for assistant director, nine for planning officer and 17 posts for probation officer.

 

Notably, the Jharkhand combined civil services prelims exam was earlier scheduled on September 12, but was then postponed to September 19. It is also worth noting that after this the main examination was scheduled to be held on January 28 to 30, 2022, however JPSC had to postpone the examination to March 11 to 13.
