J&K police arrest Hizbul terrorist in Bengaluru for targeted killing of Hindus

Bengaluru, June 7: In connection with the targeted killings of Hindus in the Valley, a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist named Talib Hussain was apprehended in Bengaluru. Jammu and Kashmir Police apprehended him.

“It’s an ongoing process. Police will keep an eye on the movement of people. Our police have extended help. The arrest had happened earlier in Bhatkal also. Now the Jammu and Kashmir police have made arrests in Bangalore. We have extended help,” reacting to the arrest of the terrorist in Bengaluru, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

“A J&K resident alleged to have engaged in terrorist activities has been arrested from Bengaluru. State police probing the matter. A probe is also underway into individuals & orgs that may have sheltered suspected terrorists in the city,” said Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.

Notably Vijay Kumar, a bank manager from Rajasthan, was shot and killed in Kulgam on June 2. Terrorists opened fire on a man who works at the Ellaquai Dehati Bank in Are, Mohan Pora, in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. He was gunned down immediately outside his office door. Kumar, a native of Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh, was transported to a hospital and died as a result of his injuries.

Amreen Bhat, a TV actress, was killed by Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in Budgam’s Chadoora neighbourhood. Rahul Bhat, a revenue department official, was slain by militants in Budgam district on May 12.
