Ramgarh, June 8: The construction of a flyover near Patel Chowk in Ramgarh has resulted in numerous accidents in the district’s Chutupalu area. Frequent accidents here result in significant loss of lives and property.
Naresh Kumar, a gumti (small shop beside roads) owner, lost his life in an accident near Shakti Fuel Petrol Pump on Tuesday evening.
The brakes of a trailer coming from Ranchi failed around 6:00 pm, causing it to collide with a road construction machine near a petrol pump. This made both the machine and the trailer overturn onto Naresh’s shop, killing him instantly on the spot.
On getting the information about the accident, the police reached the spot and took Naresh’s body into custody. They sent it for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, frequent accidents that occur in this area have created a lot of animosity among the locals. On the other hand, it appears that the local government has been utterly unsuccessful in preventing accidents. NHAI likewise does not appear to be taking any steps to prevent accidents.
