Ramgarh Engineering College organises start-up competition

Ramgarh, June 12: An innovative council and start-up competition was organised at Ramgarh Engineering College. The final year students of all the five departments showcased their innovative skills on the occasion. A total of 12 projects were given outstanding projects, which will be beneficial for the development of the society and the country.

Various projects prepared by the students of Ramgarh Engineering College include Power Saver & Auto Chargeable Electric Bike, Solar Power Hybrid Electric Vehicle, Smart Phone Controlled Solar Floor Vacuum Cleaner, Automatic Gate Railway Control System, Voice Assistant, IoT based Smart Irrigation System, Emotion-based music system, Solar grass cutter, 360-degree rotating automatic fibre protection system, Smart door, and Fiber reinforcement concrete.

The top three projects in this competition that were awarded were the Auto Chargeable Project created by Jai Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Vikram Soren, and Amit Kumar of fourth-year Kaliprabhu Pramanik under the guidance of Arunabha Dutta and Shalini Mishra.  The second project in this category was a Hybrid Electric Vehicle made by Amit Kumar Mehta, Jai Beldar, Jitendra Pal, Priyadarshini Piyush, Ranjan Kumar, Sohit Gaurav, Utsav Mukul, 4th year Ashish Kumar under the guidance of guide Mr. Arunabha Dutta. The third best project was a solar mower under Amit Mahto, Jitendra Nayak, and Sunil Kumar, under guidance from Alok Kumar.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Najmul Islam, Vice Principal of Ramgarh Engineering College. He congratulated the students that participated in the event and won.  Dr Islam said that after getting NBA accreditation the college also received the Green Champion award by the MGNCRE Government of India.

Notably, the Ramgarh Engineering College has also secured 73rd rank in MHW all over India. The Innovation Council has identified Ramgarh Engineering College in the 4.0 band in view of the introduction of innovation and college under the Ministry of Education.

Professor Arunabha Dutta, Conducting IIC has said that all the students had very innovative projects. She further said that a patent will be applied for the project in the next phase.

College Principal Dr. Shrabani Roy, Vice Principal Dr. Najmul Islam, Abhinaba Biswas, Arunabha Dutta, Piyush Mandal, Sugan Abhishek Mundu,  Rajiv Ranjan, Ram Sahu, Deb Kumar Chatterjee, Sikandar Das, Nilesh Kumar, Vishal Kumar Saw, Komal Kumari were involved in the initiative and present during the competition.
