Ramgarh, June 15: A woman, a victim of molestation, reached the Ramgarh SP office on Wednesday with a complaint of molestation and coercion with her.
She met Ramgarh SP Prabhat Kumar and submitted an application related to the incident with him and demanded action.
In the complaint, the woman mentioned that she was alone in her house as her husband had gone for a walk. Meanwhile, a man named Ramesh Sao reached her house searching for her husband.
“Inquiring about my husband, he entered the house and on seeing me alone, he started obscene acts and molesting me. When I protested, he started saying that if I tell anyone, I will kill the whole family. I am scared after this incident,” the victim said.
“I informed my neighbours about the incident and went to the local Mandu police station and complained on June 11. No action has been taken on my application so far. On the contrary, Mandu SHO Santosh Gupta is threatening me,” said the victim.
At the same time, pressure is being made to withdraw the application submitted to the Mandu police station. She has been threatened that if she does not retracts the complaint, they will send her to jail by implicating her in a false case.
The SP has assured the woman to take action in the matter. More than a dozen men and women had reached the SP office with the woman and demanded action against the accused.
