Covid cases increase in Jharkhand, Ranchi registers 37 active cases

Ranchi, June 15: The number of active corona patients has increased once again in the state, according to the data released by the Jharkhand Health Department on Wednesday. A total of 18 new patients have been found in the last 24 hours, increasing the number of active patients in the state to 65.

Reports have further stated that around five patients were declared recovered from the virus within the last 24 hours. Of the active 65 cases, most infected patients are in the Ranchi district with the number of patients here being 37.

Among other districts, there are four active patients in Bokaro, 14 in Deoghar, one in Dumka, three in East Singhbhum, two in Jamtara, and one in West Singhbhum.

Meanwhile, the districts declared Covid free for the time being are Dhanbad, Garhwa, Giridih, Godda, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Palamu, Ramgarh, Sahebganj, Seraikela, and Simdega.

Earlier, the state had stopped issuing daily bulletins on the cases, with data released only on seven occasions within the last 21 days. On being asked why the state is not issuing the bulletin regularly, NHM MD Aditya Anand said, “I do not think that I have to comment on this.”
