Ramgarh, June 17: Two students of DAV Barkakana were honoured on the school premises for their athletic and poetry recital achievements at the national level.
The students who were honoured include a former student Akash Das, who bagged a bronze medal in the Khelo India competition held at Panchkula, Haryana and Sachin Kant Jha, a student of class XII Humanities who participated in Akhil Bharatiya Kavi Sammelan held at Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
Sachin had represented Jharkhand in the competition.
Akash had won gold both in the state-level championship in 2021 and Thai Boxing in 2020. Before this, he had shown his talent at DAV Zonal and national level tournaments.
The principal of the school Dr Urmila Singh cum Regional Officer Jharkhand Zone D while honouring them with mementoes said, “Akash and Sachin are the inspiration for all the students who want to excel in any field but for that, they are required to do extra labour and take their effort to the level of passion.” She also blessed both of them for their better future.
