Mumbai, June 29: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has instructed the in-crisis Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government to demonstrate its majority in the state assembly on Thursday in response to a request from the BJP.

Tomorrow’s extraordinary session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly will only discuss the trust vote against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, according to Koshyari.

The Governor mandated that the trust vote proceedings in the Maharashtra legislature be finished by 5 p.m. tomorrow and that the sessions be videographed.

The Governor has requested a special session for tomorrow in a letter to the Secretary of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Devendra Fadnavis, a BJP leader and former chief minister, had visited with the governor the day before and urged for a floor test.
