Dhanbad, July 9: Multinational company e-commerce Amazon picked up a student of Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri from the campus for the 2nd time in the current academic sessions 2021-22.
The Chairman of Career Development Centre (CDC) Prof Ghanshyam Singh said that Amazon has selected Adarsh Mandal, a student of the IT engineering department of the institution, for the role of Full-Time Employment (FTE) on a Rs 44 lakh annual package.
Adarsh Mandal was on a six-month internship with the company and now Amazon has recruited him for the role of FTE.
Besides Amazon, D E Shaw Group and Tata Steel Long Product (TSLP) have also selected one student each from the campus.
Prof Ghanshyam said D E Shaw Group has picked up Shubham from the Information Technology engineering department for the role of a quality testing engineer at an annual package of Rs 35.5 lakhs CTC. Whereas TSLP has selected Ekalaur Rehman from the metallurgy engineering department.
BIT Director DK Singh congratulated the selected students and extended sincere regards to the recruitment team of Amazon, DE Shaw group and TSLP for hiring and providing an opportunity to the institution’s students.
“I also appreciate the training and placement coordinator Madhav Kumar and his team for their continuous efforts towards the growing placement statistics,” said Director DK Singh.
Amazon visits 2nd time in current session
BIT Sindri’s training and placement coordinator Prof Madhav Kumar said that in the 2021-22 academic session Amazon has picked four students from the campus for full-time employment.

During Durga Puja in 2021, Amazon picked up 4 students for a six-month Internship in which one of the students Adarsh Mandal has been now selected for FTE.
