Ranchi Double Murder: Father, Son stabbed to death in Shivalik Hotel

Ranchi, July 10: A man and his son were stabbed to death on Sunday in Hotel Shivalik at Chutia. The deceased are said to be residents of Ichak, Hazaribagh.

City SP and forensic team reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported.  At present, the matter is being investigated.  The deceased have been identified as Nageshwar Mahato and his son Abhishek Mahato.

As per the information, the deceased Abhishek was associated with the drug business.  He is also said to be of criminal nature. Currently, police investigation is underway.

According to the information received, the father-son had booked a room at Hotel Shivalik on Saturday at 9:00 am. On the information of the hotel employee, the police reached the spot and is currently engaged in the investigation.

The marriage of Mahato’s daughter had been fixed in Pathalkudwa.  For this, Nageshwar Mahato and his son came to Ranchi.

The son-in-law booked their room number (Room no. 201) on July 9 to stay in Hotel Shivalik and Nageshwar Mahto was staying with his son.

Meanwhile, at  4 pm when his son-in-law reached the hotel with some belongings, he saw both of them dead.  After which the information was given to the hotel staff.  After this, the police reached the spot.
