Ramgarh, July 28: An electrician training programme for the area’s youths is being run by the Jindal Foundation’s Om Prakash Jindal Community College located at Ucharinga, Patratu in the Ramgarh district. The programme is being run in collaboration with the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC).
On July 28, the new batch of 50 students was officially introduced. The institute will provide training to them to work as assistant electricians for three months.
The inaugural program was attended by Chief Guest JSP, Patratu CSR Head Ravi Niwas, SBI Patratu Branch Deputy Manager Kamal Kishore, Principal of the Institute Ajay Pandey, staff members, and students.
The guests at the program appreciated the efforts being made by OP Jindal Community College for the all-around development of society. He said that the work done by the college and NBCFDC together is commendable and it will directly benefit the local youth.
Chief Guest Ravi Niwas encouraged the youth and said that by taking advantage of this type of skill training, maximum knowledge should be acquired. “We should be proud to have a world-class institute like Om Prakash Jindal Community College in our area which is providing job-oriented training to the youth of this area and shaping the future of the youth,” he said.
State Bank of India Patratu Branch Deputy Manager Kamal Kishor gave detailed information about the financial assistance provided by the banks to the trainees after the training.
Principal Ajay Pandey, while highlighting the skill development course conducted by the National Backward Classes Financial and Development Corporation, informed the students about the importance of skill development.
He said that the first and second batch trainees from the institute are successfully trained and are working in many reputed companies in the country. “The institute has been doing this work since 2007 and we are becoming a partner in the development of the country,” said the principal.
