Ramgarh, July 29: A meeting of the District Environment and Pollution Control Committee was organised in the Collectorate Hall under the chairmanship of  Deputy Commissioner, Ramgarh, Madhavi Mishra on Friday.

The DC first took information from the Regional Officer of the Pollution Control Board about the work being done regarding pollution control and the action taken after the investigation campaign.

During this, she expressed dissatisfaction over the works and directed the Regional Officer to take the works seriously and initiate strict steps for pollution control.

For this, she directed to take strict action against all the factories which are not following the pollution control norms by conducting an inquiry campaign and making the report related to the action available at the district level.

During the meeting, the DC inquired from the Labor Superintendent Ramgarh about the work done under the instructions given regarding the investigation campaign to be conducted in the factories.

She directed the District Mining Officers and Circle Officers to conduct investigation operations in their respective areas and check illegal crushers and other illegal mining activities. After being found illegal in the course of the investigation, the Deputy Commissioner has directed to take legal action by destroying the illegal crushers immediately.

The DC also asked the Executive Engineer Electricity Division to investigate whether the electricity being used in the currently operating factories and the ongoing mining activities is valid or illegal.
