Mumbai, Aug 1: Aaditya Thackeray, the leader of the Yuva Sena and a former minister, declared on Monday that Maharashtra never accepts betrayal and that the Eknath Shinde-led administration will undoubtedly fall.

He claimed, when touring the Konkan region, that the Shinde government is more concerned with ‘dirty politics’ than with the wellbeing of the populace.

“This entire political drama is of the one-and-half months. The government will collapse for sure. Maharashtra never tolerates treachery,” said Aaditya Thackeray, son of Shiv Sena chief and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray in Sindhudurg.

When Uddhav ji was CM, nobody felt that they are being discriminated against. But now, regionalism is being brought in deliberately…Attempts are being made to create divides among people. Aaditya Thackeray criticised the Shinde administration, in which Devendra Fadnavis of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) serves as deputy chief minister, claiming that the current administration’s priorities are ‘dirty politics’ rather than the welfare of Maharashtra and its citizens.

He claimed that despite the state experiencing constant rain and flooding, the government remains unconcerned.

“There’s inflation & unemployment. But the only thing people focus on is politics & breaking other parties & their MLAs. You know what Governor said recently. He deliberately took names of Thane & Mumbai where polls are going to be held,” he said.

Last month, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, which was headed by Uddhav Thackeray, was overthrown by Shinde and 40 Shiv Sena MLAs.
