Ranchi, Aug.9: Four students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Bundu died while several sustained injuries after a truck rammed a school van near Sun Temple, about 40 km from Ranchi under the Bundu police station area.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when the students were returning after Tiranga Yatra rehearsal in the school despite today being the festival on account of Muharram.

SP (rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the incident saying rescue operations had been started.

After the accident, there was a long queue of vehicles on NH-33. Vehicular movement on the Ranchi-Jamshedpur route has been completely stopped. A large number of local people gathered at the spot.

There is a lot of outrage among the local people about the incident. People say that road accidents often happen near Bundu Sun Temple in which people die, but no steps are being taken by the police administration to control it. At present, senior police officers are also keeping an eye on the whole situation.
