Jharkhand Police on high alert prior to Independence Day

Ranchi, Aug 14: The Jharkhand Police is on high alert prior to Independence Day. Elaborate security arrangements have been made across the state on the instructions of Jharkhand Police Headquarters. An alert has also been issued to all the districts from the police headquarters.

While patrolling is intensified in Naxal areas, on the other hand, all known suspects are being monitored. Full details of those staying in all the hotels and lodges of the state are also being taken. Other information along with check in time, their purpose for a visit, and their identity cards are also being checked.

The guidelines issued to the districts by the Police Headquarters state to have security in all the districts where the ministers, MLAs and other senior officials will hoist the flag. It is necessary to audit the complete security of all such VIP visits. Security will be ensured before, and during the ceremony.

Adequate police force will be deputed on high houses and towers around the venue. Vehicles will be checked at all entry points of the city. Hotel, airport, railway station, bus stand and other rest houses will be verified. Everyone will also keep surveillance in their respective areas through drones.
