Ranchi, Aug.16: The Jharkhand High Court today sought a reply from Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) asking how an interview was organised for the recruitment of assistant professors to teach Mundari without considering the objection to the appointment process and how come a candidate scoring more than the cut off mark was deprived of the interview.

The court gave time of three weeks to the recruitment agency to file a reply saying appointments made on the basis of the interview held without considering the objection will be affected by the final order of the High Court.

The development took place in the court of Justice S.N.Pathak after a petition pointing out loopholes in the selection process was listed for hearing. Gautam Raj Singh Munda and a few others who had got affected due to the loopholes in the appointment process had filed the petition.

Munda’s advocate Subhashish Rasik Soren confirmed the development saying the notification for the examination was published in 2018 and result of the written examination was published in February 2022. The final result was published on June 30.

Before the result was published, an interview was organised on June 16 and 17 though the petitioner had raised an objection taking the academic performance indicator (API) prepared by the JPSC.  The objection was raised when the candidates were given an opportunity to do so in between June 9 to June 12.

The JPSC, advocate Soren said, not only failed to entertain the objection raised by candidates taking API but also did not call the petitioner for interview though they had scored more than cut off marks.
