Ranchi, Sept 4: The JMM-Congress MLAs, who were sent to Chhattisgarh by a special chartered aircraft earlier, returned to Ranchi on Sunday. All the MLAs will spend Sunday night at the Circuit House in Morabadi. The MLAs will then participate in the session of the assembly called on Monday.
Sources have revealed that the MLAs will be going to the assembly from the circuit house. The MLAs, who were staying at Raipur’s Mayfair Resort for the last five days, returned to Ranchi in a special plane from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at around four in the afternoon. From Ranchi Airport, all the MLAs reached Circuit House in a bus. Total number of MLAs to have returned to Ranchi is 31.
Amidst the political crisis in Jharkhand, the next 48 hours are going to be very important in the politics of the state, say political gurus. People are speculating the decision to be taken by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday at the special session.
However, people also believe that the CM will take a decision on Local Policy, Planning Policy and OBC Reservation. Meanwhile, Governor Ramesh Bais is still in Delhi. It is believed that he may have consulted legal experts including the Law Ministry on the decision of the Central Election Commission regarding the assembly membership of Chief Minister Soren. Although the situation regarding the Chief Minister’s assembly membership will be clear only after the governor returns to Ranchi.
Three buses have been brought to take the MLAs who reached Ranchi by special aircraft to the Circuit House. Ministers Satyanand Bhokta, Mithilesh Thakur have reached Ranchi airport to receive the MLAs. Earlier, security arrangements have been increased from Ranchi Airport to Circuit House. Security of IRB jawans has been beefed up at Birsa Munda Airport.
