Daltonganj, Sept 8: Durga Puja is observed with great fervour and zeal in the entire Palamu. In view of this, the Sri Kendriya Durga Puja Mahasamiti has decided to hold Dandiya and Garba dance events in Daltonganj during the first couple of days of Durga Puja in October.

Giving this information, the chairman of the Mahasamiti, Durga Johri, said these two events will be the first of their kind in Daltonganj. Young and elderly men and women, boys and girls are looking forward to these two events.

Johri said there is huge excitement about it as the Covid pandemic disturbed the faithful for two years and they could not celebrate the Durga Puja festival in its grandeur. “There will be a Shobha Yatra on this occasion,” he added.
