Ramgarh, Sept 11: The buried body of one 21-year-old Rohit Kumar was exhumed on Sunday by police officials in the presence of the magistrate in the Panch Mandir Panchayat of Patratu police station area.
Patratu Circle Officer Shivshankar Pandey, Patratu SDPO Dr. Virendra Chaudhary, Patratu police station in-charge Gautam Kumar were present as magistrates. Police officials present at the site, said that the body will be sent for post-mortem.

Notably, Rohit Kumar, son of Naresh Mahto, was a resident of Bartua village of Patratu and was missing since June 30. Mahto said that his son had gone to cousin Dilip Mahto’s house in Chutia, Ranchi on June 24. Mahto’s daughter,Chanchal Kumari had called Rohit and asked him to come back home on June 30.
Chanchal received Rohit from Ranchi bus stand and took him to Ramgarh. According to Mahato, Chanchal Kumari killed Rohit with her lover and buried the dead body in the house.
Police investigation soon revealed that Chanchal Kumari had a love affair with a Muslim youth, which Rohit would was always opposed by her brother Rohit. After the information, the Chutia and Patratu police have interrogated the girl. Chanchal has accepted the love affair Chanchal Kumari with a local boy. The police suspect that the affair and the brother’s subsequent opposition is the possible cause of murder.
