Ramgarh: Krishi Vigyan Kendra organises training camp on formation of farmer-producer groups

Ramgarh, Sept 12: A one-day training camp on the formation of farmer-producer groups was held under the aegis of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mandu and Atma Ramgarh on Monday during District Foundation Day.

Notably, Dr Dushyant Kumar Raghav, in charge of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, emphasised the formation of the farmer-producer group. He informed the farmers that by forming farmer-producer groups, they can sell their produce where they get more price.

Moreover, Project Director, Atma Praveen Kumar Singh informed that they will save on buying seeds, fertilizers, pesticides etc. together, which will reduce the cost of production, and will profit the farmers.  Dr Indrajit, the scientist of the centre, gave detailed information to the farmers about how to form a farmer-producer group and how their registration would be done and he answered various questions from the farmers.  

During the one-day training, various aspects were discussed on the formation of the group. It was also told that after becoming a group, they would also get licenses for fertilizers, seeds, pesticides etc. they could easily buy and sell them.

During the training, more than 30 farmers, GT India representative and scientist Dharamjit Kherwar, Center’s Sunny Kumar, Shashikant Choubey, Block Agriculture Officer, Ranjit Kumar Rajak, Rajendra Prasad (Raju) Mukhiya Barka Chumba were present.
