Jamshedpur, Sept 23: With the growing acceptance of Ayurveda in India and beyond, the Jharkhand government has also started keeping pace with the turn of events in the field of traditional treatment of diseases.

Encouraged by the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment, especially during the pandemic Covid-19 menace, the department of Ayush under the auspices of the Jharkhand health department has planned to set up Ayush health wellness centres across the state.

Initially, the proposed health wellness centre will have a capacity of 10 beds in each of the 24 districts beside other related facilities in some of the districts.

Fazlus Sami, director, Ayush has recently sent a directive to all the district Ayush officers to select a plot of government land for setting up Ayush health wellness centre in all the 24 districts of the state.

Seraikela-Kharsawan district Ayush officer Dr Vipin Chandra Gupta has already started scouting for suitable land for the proposed hospital in the adjoining district.

“Till now there were outdoor treatment facilities in Ayurveda in our district, but very soon patients willing to get the traditional treatment for any disease can be cured by availing the indoor facility. Patients can be admitted in the Ayush health wellness centre like they get treatment by getting admitted in any other hospital, ” said Gupta while talking to lagatar24.com.

He pointed out it is a matter of pleasure for people as in the event of anyone opts to undergo treatment in an Ayush health wellness centre, he or she will not have any side effects though this traditional treatment happens to be a bit time taking.

“We are now searching for suitable land measuring 25 decimals for setting up the traditional health hub. We have to take account of the convenience aspect of the people as most of the patients are expected to turn up from the rural areas of the district,” said Gupta who seems to be very proactive.

Meanwhile, Ayush director Dr Fuzlus Sami informed that the steel city Jamshedpur will get a Panchakarma Therapeutic Center beside an Ayush health wellness centre.

“In a Panchakarma Therapeutic centre, a person can get oneself completely detoxicated by undergoing the therapy,” said Sami while talking to lagatar24.com.
