Ramgarh, Sept 24: An on-duty police officer was killed in an accident that took place on Saturday morning at the Chordaha check post of Chauparan police station area of ??Hazaribagh district.
The cop was checking a pickup van near the Sahdul Ali check post when a tanker coming from Barhi crushed him from behind. The jawan died on the spot. The deceased was a resident of Bangabad, Giridih.
After getting information about the incident, Chauparan police station in-charge Shambhu Ishwar reached the spot. The tanker has been seized.
