The arrested criminals were identified as Amit Tiwary aka DK, Krishna Kumar Mahto, Pintu Kumar Mahto and Rajesh Kumar Mahto.

Police officials said this gang is active in areas of Hazaribag, Giridih and Bokaro. They said after all four were nabbed two days ago, the murder story appeared to them followed by the recovery of the skeleton from the Chunakhan area in Bedam forest under Tatijharia police station.

All four said Sanjeet and Umesh’s relationship with gang leader Umesh Giri turned sour after differences on levy amount. Giri directed Amit Tiwary and Rajesh Mahto to kill them. Both were killed duo in a forest area in January.

Father of Sanjeet who had registered a missing case went to the forest area and confirmed that the recovered skeleton was of his son after finding his clothes, innerwear and bracelets. He lodged a murder case against five including Giri in Tatijharia police station. Police officials said they are trying to recover the skeleton of Mandal.

The police are now carrying out raids to arrest its leader Giri and other members.
