Daltonganj, Oct 10: The ten-day ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’ campaign by the Jharkhand government is going to start from October 12 in Palamu. The objective of this campaign is to ensure direct access of the government schemes to the people in remote areas such as ration card, Kisan Credit Card, pension scheme, job card among others.

There are 267 panchayats in Palamu and the administration has picked up 130 of them for this programme in the first phase. The remaining panchayats will be holding it beginning November 1.

The Hemant Soren government had launched the campaign first on completion of its second year in office and it was a big draw. The second phase is being organised as the the state government is nearing 3 years completion on December 29.

Palamu had a flood of 2.53 lakh petitions in the first campaign. This figure is loudly talked about but percentage of disposal or redressal is seldom flashed with the same fervour as receipts for the petitions are rolled out.

Palamu administration has announced date-wise schedule of this programme slated for October 12 in 130 panchayats for the benefit of the people. Young girls, farmers, youths to access jobs, enabling poor to have access to food etc are the focal points of the second phase.

As per the civil society activists, the Sukanya Samridhi Yojna (now Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojna) and Kisan Credit Card scheme have to be made a household name. There are banks in Palamu which hardly takes any interest in the disbursement of the KCCs and always pull a wet blanket on it. Farmers are made to run for the KCC.

Following the strike of revenue personnel, there is a huge pile of incomplete certificates for caste, income and residence and youths and job aspirants would be looking for their issuance. Cases of land measurements also lie unattended for months and all eyes are on this second phase of the campaign to solve the pending issues.
