21st Kartik Oraon Memorial Football Tournament 2022: Raja Sports Club, Mecon enter semis

Ranchi, Oct 13: Raja Sports Club, Bariatu and Mecon Sports Club have made their respective places in the semi finals after they won their quarter final matches in the 21st Kartik Oraon Memorial Football Tournament 2022.

The first match was played between Raja Sports Club, Bariatu and Sunrise Club Daladilli in which Raja Sports Club defeated Sunrise Club, Daladilli 3-0. Avinash Oraon for Raja Sports scored the first goal in 33 minutes. The second and third goal was scored by Tauheed Ahmed in 38 minutes and 40 minutes. The Man of the Match award was given to Tauheed Ahmed.

 

 

The second quarter-final match was played between Mecon Sports Club Ranchi and Red Army Banhora. Both the teams displayed aggressive play but failed to score a goal within the stipulated time.

 


In the tiebreaker, Mecon Sports Club beat Red Army Vanhora 4-1. Vijay Mahto, Shankar Urao, Rohan Kachhap, and Chhotu Tirkey scored while Raju scored the only goal for Red Army.

Mecon Sports Club goalkeeper Raymond continued to perform brilliantly and made two excellent defences for which he was awarded the man of the match.
