Ranchi, Nov 1: Sujeet Munda, who has been selected in the 17-member squad to represent the Indian team in Blind T20 World Cup from December 4 to 17, met Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday evening.

This is the first instance when Sujeet met the CM in person and was congratulated by him over his selection in the national team for the upcoming world cup. CM Soren also tweeted a picture with Sujeet along with a congratulatory note.

Sujeet, who lives in a temporary house built on HEC land in Dhurwa, comes from a very poor family. There are four brothers in the family including Sujeet out of which three are daily wage workers.

In his career so far, he has participated in the bilateral series against South Africa in the year 2018, the trilateral series played between India-Pakistan-Bangladesh in 2020 and the triangular series played between India-Pakistan and South Africa in Dubai.

In the second phase, 29 players were selected out of these 56 and in the third phase, 17 players out of 29 were selected to play in the World Cup.
