Ranchi, Nov.16: The husband of jailed IAS officer Pooja Singhal, Abhishek Jha, knocked the door of the Jharkhand High Court for cancellation of cognizance taken against him by the ED Court and prayed for his anticipatory bail to get immunity from arrest.
Jha took the legal step after on November 5, the ED court, which had taken cognisance against him in a case of money laundering involving his wife, rejected his anticipatory bail petition.
In another development, hearing on the bail of CM’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra, was deferred till November 22. The situation came after Mishra’s advocate prayed for the same saying he requires time to submit some documents before the court.
