New Delhi, Nov 16: A Delhi court has allowed Delhi police permission to conduct a narcoanalysis test on Aaftab Ameen Poonawala in connection with the murder of Shraddha Walker.

Aaftab Ameen Poonawala, who strangled his live-in partner Shraddha Walker and dismembered her body into 35 pieces, was the subject of a drug test request from the Delhi Police on Tuesday.

Aaftab refused to cooperate with the investigation and tried to deceive the police, so Delhi police asked the Saket court for permission to conduct a narcotics test. Aaftab has not yet provided information about the mobile phone and saw that Shraddha allegedly used to dismember his partner.

Aaftab and Shraddha’s friends’ statements, medical and autopsy reports, technical analysis of data that Delhi police have retrieved, and the narcotics test, which is not admissible as evidence in court, will all be supported by the narcotics test, which will also aid Delhi police in supporting other evidence.

According to authorities, Aaftab purchased a 300-liter refrigerator, where he kept Shraddha’s body parts for about three weeks before disposing of them over many days in various locations throughout the capital. Tuesday, the Delhi Police escorted Aaftab to the Chhatarpur forest in south Delhi to find the precise locations where he is said to have dumped the body parts of his partner.

Aaftab told the investigators that he had attempted to murder Shraddha in the past but changed his mind when she became upset and began to cry. Her liver and intestines were among the first body parts of Shraddha that Aaftab disposed of, according to the authorities.
