Ranchi’s Ridhima Mishra wins gold at Arnis National Championship

Ranchi, Nov 17: Ridhima Mishra from Ranchi, a resident of Hatia Patel Nagar Himgiri Kunj, has won a gold medal in the Arnis National Championship. With the success of Ridhima Mishra, a student of Vivekananda Vidya Mandir School, Dhurwa, Jharkhand has got a total of 2 gold medals in the Arnis National Championship.

Apart from Ridhima Mishra, Kumkum Kumari also won a gold medal. Jharkhand has got three silver and two bronze medals as well.

The competition was organised at the Polo Ground in Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, where Jharkhand has achieved this feat. General Secretary of Jharkhand Arnis Sports Association Sifu Vishwajit Karmakar and President Ghulam Abdul Qadir congratulated the winners on this achievement of victory.

The team travelled to Ranchi today by train after taking home the medal in this competition. Whereas at the station, the RPF and the organisation’s members welcomed them. Vishwajit Karmakar, general secretary of the Jharkhand Arnis Sports Association, provided this information.
