New Delhi, Nov 22: India and New Zealand’s third and final T20I concluded in a stalemate since their combined score of 75/4 in 9 overs was equal to the DLS score.
The umpires decided to call off the game because there was no more time for it to continue, and it finished in a tie.
Earlier, India’s 161-run chase against New Zealand in the third T20I was rocked early due to the loss of the wickets of Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and Suryakumar Yadav. India bowled out New Zealand for 160 runs. Four wickets were taken by Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh.
New Zealand’s Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips both scored fifty runs, but India put on a bowling display in the final overs.
Before Siraj struck to dismiss Mark Chapman, India struck first with Arshdeep Singh’s removal of Finn Allen. In the first T20I, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first at Napier.
