Daltonganj, Nov 25: The BJP had innovation at its Jan Aakrosh rally in Daltonganj as it did away with the traditional stage and brought in its stage on a 10-wheel truck.
The 10-wheel truck had chairs and a small table sufficient enough for leaders to sit and speak and also offered a good view. Those who saw it said the containers being used in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, might have given a cue to the BJP to have a stage on wheels.
The Jan Aakrosh rally held by the BJP on Thursday was led by the union minister of state for education, the government of India Annapurna Devi who is a very recognised face following her long political stint in the RJD.
The Bishrampur BJP MLA Ramchander Chandravanshi was conspicuous for his absence from this rally. A BJP leader requesting anonymity said, “Had our 4 MLAs even brought in 2,000 people each, the size of the rally could have been different then.”
The BJP leader questioned the propriety to bring and make one speak from the stage on a truck who was sacked from the Lok Sabha for taking money. He asked, “Is there any dearth of speakers in the BJP that it got a dismissed one on allegation of corruption in Lok Sabha to give a speech on the corruption?”
Palamu MP VD Ram gave a controlled speech on this occasion reminding people how the manifesto of the Hemant Soren government duped the people of the state.
However, the BJP leadership manoeuvered this rally to the hilt in driving its point home that the Soren government is the epitome of corruption which has looted and cheated people of the state by indulging in a rare piece of corruption and making false promises to the people of Jharkhand.
The BJP team first brought Panki MLA Dr Shashibhushan Mehta on the stage who flayed the Hemant Soren government most fiercely.
The speakers thereafter left nothing in blasting this government. The BJP knew its rally is against a tribal leader Hemant Soren so it very intelligently asked its ST Morcha leader Sheoshankar Oraon to address and he was quite merciless in his criticism.
The mayor Aruna Shankar was not given any chance to address the rally and thus the lone woman speaker was Annapurna Devi who spoke with grace.
She explained how systematic corruption has hollowed the state and how its people have suffered all because of the misrule of the Hemant Soren government.
