Amritsar, Nov 26: Two intruders were discovered intruding into the Indian territory on Friday night at Punjab’s Pathankot at the Pahadipur station. However, the Border Security Force (BSF) responded by opening fire to stop the attempt after the thermal camera recorded the infiltration bid.
As per information, the BSF personnel fired seven bullets after spotting two Pakistani intruders moving on the placed camera. The intruders then retreated toward the Pakistan border. The infiltrators made three attempts on Friday night to enter Indian territory near Pathankot and Amritsar.
Aprt from this, the BSF troops along the international border in Amritsar shot down a Pakistani drone. The BSF personnel in the region falling near Daoke in Amristar heard what they believed to be a drone flying into Indian territory from Pakistan.
“As per drill, the troops tried to intercept the suspected drone by firing. The bullet hit the drone due to which, it fell down on the ground. The whole area was cordoned and police and concerned sister agencies were informed,” an official statement read.
“Further, during initial search, BSF party recovered one Quadcopter DJI Matrice 300 RTK (Chinese drone) in partially damaged condition lying in the farming field ahead of border fencing near Daoke,”it added.
