Ranchi, Dec 1: A pregnant woman shot herself at her house near Kathal More under the Ratu police station area after a heated argument with her husband.
Identified as Sandhya Singh (31), the woman was taken to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in critical condition while her husband Jayant Singh (28) was detained for questioning.
Officer-in-charge of Ratu police station Sapan Kumar Mahatha confirmed the incident saying the lady was against her husband’s habit of consuming liquor and so an argument took place on that subject this morning.
Asked about the husband’s job, the officer-in-charge said he used to supply furniture in hospitals.
