New Delhi, Dec 8: Jai Ram Thakur, the chief minister of Himachal, submitted his resignation on Thursday. He stated that several ‘problems’ affected the outcomes’ trajectory.
The choice was made at the same time when Congress won 39 seats in the hill state. The practice of changing the government of Himachal Pradesh every five years was still in place. In order to form a government, a party must win 35 seats, and the BJP has won 26 of them in Himachal. The BJP-led government was forced to resign on Thursday after failing to collect the necessary numbers.
CM Thakur acknowledged the public’s choice while stating that he would need to investigate what went wrong. Notably, Thakur won the election for his Siraj seat.
