BBMKU Youth Festival : SSLNT Women’s College student steals show in solo song

Dhanbad, Dec 16: A three-day Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU) youth festival ‘Antarnad 22’ concluded at SSLNT Women’s College on Friday.

Host, Aditi Tiwari, a 2nd year English honours student at SSLNT Women’s College, stole the show by singing Asha Bhosle’s famous ghazal song ‘Salona Sa Sajan Hai Mera’ at a solo song event.

A retired music teacher, Aarav Dutta, was also impressed by her singing, discovered her potential and offered to give her free lessons. “She has the gifted voice of Maa Saraswati and with proper and timely training she can go a long way in this field,” said Professor Datta. Aditi is a resident of Gomoh and practices singing at her house.

On the 2nd day, a total of 14 events were held, centring on the theatrical performances of each university.

 

 

In addition, the PK Roy Memorial College team presented a drama based on unemployment and R.S. More College, Govindpur focused on issues faced by society. Another team, the Guru Nanak College team, presented a poll-based drama.
