Ramgarh, Dec 17: Ramgarh police on Saturday claimed to have busted the case of firing on Devanshu Saha, a famous businessman in town. They arrested four accused who carried out the incident and seized one Made-in-USA 7.65 auto pistol (with magazine), and five rounds of 7.65 mm from their possession. Seven mobiles, a bike and a backpack were also recovered. The police said that efforts are being made to arrest others involved in this case.
Ramgarh SP Piyush Pandey said that on December 8, near the Bijulia railway overbridge, Vikas Nagar resident Devanshu Sah was seriously injured after unknown miscreants fired on his car to kill him. A case (number 309/22) was registered in this regard by the Ramgarh police station under section 385/357/307/120(4)/ 34 IPC and 27 Arms Act. An SIT was constituted which was led by Ramgarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer. It arrested four criminals of the Pandey gang involved in the case.
The arrested criminals have accepted the crime in the confessional statement. At the instance of the accused, the weapon used in the incident was recovered and duly seized from the Aara Kanta Seven Number Colony of the Kuju OP area. Further action is being taken by registering a separate FIR in Kuju OP.
On the other hand, a criminal has also been arrested in connection with the firing on December 6 at the site of Hardev Construction in Patratu. A country-made pistol with a live bullet stuck in it and two motorcycles have been recovered from his possession.
