Jharkhand: Higher Education dept releases advisory regarding Covid-19 to all universities

Ranchi, Dec 23: The Jharkhand Higher and Technical Education department sent an advisory to the vice-chancellors of government and private universities all over the state on Friday.

In the letter, the secretary has instructed the vice-chancellors to make sure to implement the Covid 19 guidelines amid the Covid scare.

The letter states, “As per the instructions, keeping in view the infection of Novel Corona Virus (Covid-19) in relation to intra-departmental office operations, the departmental officers/personnel are directed to ensure compliance with the following guidelines:-

1. Wearing of Face Cover/Mask, use of Sanitizer and will follow Social Distancing.

2. Five or more workers will not gather in one place at the workplace.

3. Consumption of gutka/tobacco and spitting will be prohibited in the workplace.

4. There will be a complete ban on non-essential visitors at the workplace.

This letter has been written amid the growing scare of Covid-19 after the reports of new variants spreading throughout the world once again. Meanwhile, as per official information, no new cases have been found in Jharkhand at the moment.
