New Delhi, Dec 25: China has now released a statement about bilateral relations between the two countries, days after Indian and People’s Liberation Army (PLA) troops engaged in combat at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.
China has stated that they are prepared to collaborate with India to further the steady and sound development of Sino-Indian relations.
“We stand ready to work with India in the direction toward steady and sound growth of China-India relations, “Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was quoted by ANI as saying.
He added that the two nations have continued to communicate via diplomatic channels and are dedicated to maintaining stability in border regions.
“China and India have maintained communication through diplomatic and military-to-military channels, both countries committed to upholding stability in border areas,” he further added.

The development follows the 17th commander-level talks between India and China on December 20, where it was decided to uphold security and stability in the Western Sector.

According to the MEA statement, the two sides agreed to keep in close contact, maintain communication through military and diplomatic channels, and resolve any outstanding concerns as soon as possible through a mutually acceptable manner.
