Ranchi: DSPMU bags third position in 36th Inter University East Zone Youth Festival

Ranchi, Dec 27: A 49-member team from Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi excelled and earned several awards and accolades at the 36th Inter University East Zone Youth Festival held at KITS, Bhubaneswar held from 23rd – 27th December.

In the music competition, the team of DSPMU bagged the first position in the entire competition. In this discipline, Yuvraj Mishra got the first position in the Light Vocal Solo Competition. Similarly, DSPMU scored first place in the entire competition in installation, tribal orchestra and on-spot painting competition. The participants here secured the third position in the overall competition.

Vice Chancellor Dr Tapan Kumar Shandilya and Registrar Dr Namita Singh congratulated the participants and said, “The entire university family is feeling proud as a result of their positive efforts and dedication.” It is noteworthy that the team comprising 49 members was led by Dr Geetanjali Singh and Dr Rahul Dev Sao.
