New Delhi, Dec 29: The BrahMos Air Launched missile, which can reach targets at a distance of about 400 kilometres, was successfully fired by the Indian Air Force on Wednesday.
Defence officials claim that the missile, which was fired from a Su-30 fighter jet, struck the target ship in the middle. The air launched missile’s anti-ship variant was being tested at this time.

It was the first time a Su-30MKI aircraft launched a BrahMos missile with an increased range. This gives the IAF the capacity to launch precise strikes from Su-30MKI aircraft at very long ranges against land or marine targets.
