Ranchi, Jan.3: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today passed the buck on the BJP for all the controversies taking place across the country over the Sammed Shikharji in Giridih.

Senior JMM leader Supriyo Bhattacharya, addressing a press conference said that the notification declaring Sammed Shikharji a tourist spot was issued on October 22, 2018 and the same notification was published in the official gazette on February 16, 2019 by the Raghubar Das government.

“The development took place when the BJP was in power in Jharkhand and Raghubar Das was chief minister. On the basis of the Jharkhand government’s order, the union government, which was also led by BJP, issued the similar notification,” Bhattacharya said.

Passing the buck Bhattacharya said, the JMM-led government is with the Jain community on the issue as a day after the concern of the Jain community taking the issue came into the knowledge of chief minister Hemant Soren he immediately directed to ensure sanctity of the religious place.

Bhattacharya said the BJP is hatching a conspiracy against non-violent Jain community and it should seek apology for its step. He said that the BJP wants to finish the community and the recent attack on its religious place in the BJP-led Gujarat is an eye opening incident.

Bhattacharya said being located at the highest place of Jharkhand, Sammed Shikharji is the ‘Taaz (crown)’ of Jharkhand and the JMM-led government will never allow any force to play with its sanctity.

During the press conference the senior JMM leader took the name of BJP state president Deepak Prakash and BJP legislature party chief Babulal Marandi several times asking them whether they know about the decisions taken by the BJP government in the state and the centre.
