Jamshedpur, Jan 4: If the forecast of IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre is any indication minimum temperature across the state is going to witness a fall from tomorrow.
According to the Met office prediction the minimum reading is expected to witness a fall by three to four degree Celsius for three subsequent days from tomorrow.
Notably, Easterly and north-easterly winds prevailed in the lower levels of the atmosphere. This resulted in moisture incursion, heavy to moderate fog and mist at several places for the third consecutive day today, though no significant synoptic features prevailed over Jharkhand today.
The dense fog took a toll on visibility at several places. The fog also affected the movement of vehicles on national highways in the morning as it reduced surface visibility to as low as 500 metres in some places.
The minimum reading fluctuated between 10 and 12 degree Celsius at several places today including Daltonganj, Bokaro, Deoghar, Giridih, Khunti, Ramgarh and Simdega.
The minimum readings were a bit high in southern Jharkhand which covers three districts of Kolhan- East Singh hun, West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan. The minimum reading fluctuated between 13 and 14 degree Celsius in southern Jharkhand.
Weathermen said clear weather is expected to prevail over Jharkhand from Friday.
