Jal Jeevan Mission awareness vehicles flag off from Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 6: Director NEP of East Singhbhum today flagged off the Jal Jeevan Mission awareness vehicles, the purpose of which is to go from village to village for creating awareness about the importance of pure drinking water.

Jal Jeevan Mission Prachar Prasar Rath was flagged off by Director NEP Jyotsna Singh from the district collectorate in Jamshedpur. Executive engineer Drinking Water and Sanitation Division, Adityapur and Jamshedpur and all district coordinators were present on the occasion. 

Jal Jeevan Mission Rath will work to make people aware of the tap in every house, and the water in every tap. 

It will tell the villagers about the ways to conserve water. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, a target has been set to provide tap water to all rural families by the year 2024.

Along with telling the importance of pure drinking water to the people in rural areas through the awareness vehicle, information will be provided about water supply through various drinking water supply schemes.
