Ramgarh: NABARD inaugurates sticky trap production unit at Bankheta

Ramgarh, Jan 6: The inauguration ceremony of Saheli Mahila Vikas Sangh`s chemical-free sticky trap production unit was held under the FRDP project supported by HDFC Bank and operated by KGVK in Bankheta of Ramgarh district on Friday.

The production unit was inaugurated jointly by NABARD’s DDM Upendra Kumar Sah, Project Manager Somen Mahato and Progressive farmer Suresh Bedia.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr Sah said that efforts are being made to empower women by training the youth and women in rural areas under the FRDP project run by KGVK.

On the other hand, Mr Mahato said that KGVK is always striving for the creative works of women. To remove unemployment in the Ramgarh project area, Employment will be provided to the villagers by creating various types of employment and agricultural training.

Also, Saheli Mahila Vikas Sangh’s entrepreneurs said that after receiving training from KGVK, all women in the group will become self-employed.

Napier grass was also distributed to the farmers on behalf of NABARD during the inauguration ceremony.
