Dhanbad: Nodal officer discusses New Education Policy with BBMKU students, teachers

Dhanbad, Jan 7: Teachers and students of Sindri College Sindri, a prominent constituent institution of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU), got first-hand information about the importance and advantage of the New Education Policy (NEP).

In this regard, the institution organised a workshop in which BBMKU NEP nodal officer Dr Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary (professor, English department of postgraduate) who graced the occasion as a ‘resource person’ gave detailed information about NEP and answer the questions of teachers and students about the ambitious project.

Dr Himanshu informed them about the changes in education from NEP and pointed out the benefits students would get in future.

Dr Nakul Prasad, the principal of the College, while presiding over the workshop emphasised getting details information about New Education Policy and said that the policy provides all the reforms at all levels of education from school to higher education.

“We will implement in letter and spirit in the institution as it ensures all-round development of students,” said the principal Dr Prasad.

Senior professor  Dr Anil Ashutosh, while proposing votes of thanks to guests and senior faculty members of the institution for making the workshop productive said that the government has tried to make students aware of many subjects same time and has made the course structure at NEP relevant to present needs of the students.

“In fact, NEP is aimed at providing more practical knowledge of all subjects to students than practical and theoretical,” said  Anil Ashutosh.

Prof in-charge Dr Sunita Jaiswal, department of English, Dr Manoj Tiwary, Dr RP Singh, Dr Vishu Meghnani, Dr Sharmistha Acharya, Dr Vikash Kesri, Dr Mamta Kumari, Dr Anuradha Das,  Dr Anup  Mehta, Prof Gopal Das, Dr Sanat Das, Dr Rajesh Gupta, Rajnath Viswakarma, and  SC Sharma expressed satisfaction over the information shared at a workshop by experts and hailed step of principal for organising it.

Prof Nitu Gaurav of the Hindi department of the institution conducted the workshop and pointed out the importance of holding the function about NEP in the interest of students and faculty members.
